Make a difference

Over the last 45 years, the Neurological Foundation has been able to fund life changing research thanks to your donations.

Why donate?

One in five of us will suffer the debilitating effects of a serious neurological condition.

It could be someone you love. It could even be you.

Your donation takes us one step forward on the pathway to hope through neurological research. The ground-breaking research and education into these conditions provides hope of better treatment options and cures for future generations.

1 in 5 Kiwis are affected by brain disorders.

Alert regarding scam calls

We are aware that some of our supporters are being contacted by phone by people claiming to represent the Neurological Foundation and asking for donations over the phone. We do not currently run a phone fundraising service, and while we can accept payment over the phone when a supporter calls us, we would not proactively contact a supporter to request this. Should a supporter receive a call which claims to be from us and they are unsure about the authenticity, they can call us on 0508 BRAINS to confirm any details with us.

We understand that this change made by the banks may be upsetting for you, but please rest assured that we have alternate donation options available. Please contact our team on 0508 BRAINS (272 467) if you require assistance.

Claim your tax online

There’s no need to complete a paper form this year because you can now claim donation tax credits online in a myIR account, Inland Revenue’s secure online service. It'll mean that you receive your refund much sooner. Your receipts can be electronic receipts, or photos or scans of paper receipts and be uploaded anytime during the year.
